1970  Tony Giannoni, J.D., is president of the Sacramento office of the Allen Group, a commercial development firm. He is currently overseeing construction of the 12-story Meridian Plaza in Sacramento. He and his wife, Debra, a first-grade teacher, have three children.    Walter Goodman, M.S. '72, a professor of entomology at the University of Wisconsin--Madison, has received its Chancellor's Award for distinguished teaching.    Michael Remy, J.D., died of prostate cancer at his home in Fair Oaks in April 2003. He was 59. Mr. Remy was an environmental attorney and one of the founding members of Remy, Thomas and Moose. He was best known for leading the fight to close the Rancho Seco nuclear power plant. Survivors include his wife, Trudy, daughter and three grandchildren.

1971  Emilie Berriezo Rodger was named Teacher of the Year 2003 at Northern Arizona University's College of Education. Rodger, an assistant professor of instructional leadership, was honored for her outstanding teaching ability.

1972  Jim Donald, J.D., died in February 2003 at age 57. As a lawyer, Mr. Donald actively campaigned for laws making public places accessible to the disabled, leading to regulations requiring such accommodations as curb cuts and wheelchair lifts. He is survived by his wife, Grace.

1973  Jan Bridges Bardsley co-produced the 2002 documentary Women in Japan: Memories of the Past, Dreams for the Future. She is an associate professor of Japanese language and literature at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

1974  John Nesbitt, M.A., Ph.D. '80, had his most recent western novel, Black Hat Butte, published by Leisure Books.    Barbara Renick is an independent consultant in Ellensburg, Wash. She was previously assistant to the tribal chair of the Coyote Valley Tribe in Northern California and, for the state, served as director of Indian services.

1975  Wendy Furth was named Southern California's Certified Residential Specialist of the Year for 2002. She has worked in real estate for 18 years and is currently with RE/MAX Olson in Northridge. She lives with her husband, Dave, and cat, Sammy, and enjoys jazz, golf and powerboat racing.    Mohsen Nourbakhsh, M.A., Ph.D. '79, died of a heart attack at age 59 in Tehran in March 2003. Dr. Nourbakhsh held many posts with the Iranian leadership, including the position of finance minister, before being named governor of the Central Bank of Iran.
