1980  Heidi Bekebrede had one of her ceramic artworks featured in the 16th annual Feats of Clay ceramic show in Lincoln. It was one of 70 pieces selected from among 1,130 entries. She is a member of the Artery, an artists' cooperative in Davis, has taught at the Davis Art Center since 1990 and has been narrator for the performance group Voice of the Wood since 1991.    Christine McFadden, D.V.M. '82, donated $250,000 to the UC Merced library in honor of her four children who were slain by her ex-husband. She founded the McFadden-Willis Memorial Foundation to raise money for college scholarships and other causes.    Marjorie Sandor has written Portrait of My Mother Who Posed Nude in Wartime (Sarabande Books). She has published collections of her essays and short stories, and her short fiction has appeared in a number of anthologies and journals. Sandor teaches creative writing and literature at Oregon State University in Corvallis.    K.L. "Dan" Wong is a senior transportation planner with the San Francisco Airport Commission, where he has worked since 1988. He was a panelist at the American Planning Association's 2003 National Conference in Denver.

1981  Susan Yeck has reopened her law office in San Diego with her husband, Ron Sample. The two practice law both in San Diego and Mammoth Lakes. Their daughter, Olivia, is 2 1/2.

1982  Kathryn Brown Kelly was elected province director of alumnae for Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity and, as such, will work with the fraternity alumnae associations in Southern California. She was previously the president of the fraternity's Palo Alto Alumnae Association. Kelly lives in Redwood Shores with her husband, Frank Massa.

1983  Janet Gaard, J.D., is a lawyer for the California Attorney General's Office. Gaard recently argued a case before the U.S. Supreme Court that could end statute of limitations for child sexual abuse cases. A ruling is expected in June.

1984  Ariana Strozzi, a horse trainer for more than three decades, operates a Horses and Leadership program on her ranch near Bodega Bay. For 12 years, Strozzi has been teaching people to take control of their lives, using a series of exercises with horses to assess her clients' strengths and weaknesses as leaders.    Carol Williams died in January 2003 at age 60. The Carmichael resident worked in the UC health system for 30 years, chiefly as an ostomy clinical nursing specialist. Survivors include husband Jim, son James, daughter-in-law Tammy,mother Nina Fontana and two grandchildren.

1985  Autumn Davidson, D.V.M., an associate clinical professor of internal medicine and reproduction in the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, has received the 2003 Hills' Animal Welfare Humane Ethics Award from the American Animal Hospital Association for her work as the director of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Veterinary Clinic. Davidson is also the medical director for the National Labrador Retriever Club.
