1940  Jack Stone received an Award of Distinction from the UC Davis College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. A lifelong farmer and founder of Stone Land Co. in Stratford, Stone has been an advocate for cotton growers and has sought to protect water supplies through his work with such organizations as the Westlands Water District.
