1980  David Dodd, head librarian for the city of San Raphael, released his third book on the Grateful Dead, titled The Complete Annotated Grateful Dead Lyrics (Free Press).

1981  After 20 years with HP and Agilent Technologies, Gene Endicott has become vice president of Ziegler Associates, a Sacramento-based strategic public affairs and communications consulting firm started in 2003 by Jay Ziegler ’84. He lives in Roseville with his wife, Trisa, and children Andrew and Julia.    David Masiel, M.A. ’88, has written a second novel, titled The Western Limit of the World (Random House)—an adventure story about the piracy of a chemical tanker. He is also the author of the critically acclaimed 2182 Kilohertz (Random House, 2003).

1982  Margo (Treharne-Reardon) Reasner has written her first novel, A Walk on the Cliffs (iUniverse Inc.). She lives with her husband and son in an outer suburb of Boston.

1983  Daniel Pearl was named director of the Northwest Book Festival. Pearl has also assumed the position of editor with The Forerunner, a Seattle publishing house.

1985  Heather Bays was named one of the 2005 Certified Public Accountants Making a Difference by the Colorado Society of CPAs.    Craig Grossgart was named chief executive officer of Asia Container Terminals Ltd. in Hong Kong.    John Post, M.S. ’91, and his father, George “Randy” Post, run the agricultural consulting firm Agricultural Advisors Inc., which helps clients find mites, determine whether they are harmful to their crops and eradicate them without the use of harmful pesticides. Their creative approaches earned them an award from the state Department of Pesticide Regulation.

1986  JoMay Chow, M.S. ’89, is currently a research scientist in the Healthy Living research and development group for the Ross Products Division of Abbott Laboratories in Columbus, Ohio. She recently married Joseph Niccum.    Julia Scrogin was appointed to a judgeship in the Yuba County Superior Court. A resident of Yuba City, Scrogin has served as deputy district attorney for the Sutter County district attorney’s office since 1992.
