1990 Charles Cornman, Ph.D., has been appointed director of research and development for the formulated products department of Grace Construction Products in Cambridge, Mass. • John Leckie received the Air Forces John C. Flanagan Senior Psychologist of the Year Award for 2004 within Air Force Materiel Command. He and his wife, Sigrid, doubled the size of their family with the birth of twins, Aidan and Athena, in July. They live in Albuquerque, N.M. 1991 Suzanne Chávez-Silverman, Ph.D., was promoted to professor of romance languages and literatures at Pomona College in Claremont. She is also the author of the bilingual literary memoir Killer Crónicas: Bilingual Memories (University of Wisconsin Press), released in late 2004. • Jesse Church was promoted to assistant principal at Long Beach Poly High School. • Laura (LaSalle) Tewnion recently moved to Boulder, Colo., with her husband, Angus, and son, Jordan. She is the director of research and development for WhiteWave Foods, a division of Dean Foods. 1993 Lea Adams was recently hired as a senior water resources engineer at Jones & Stokes, an environmental consulting firm headquartered in Sacramento. • Tara Habig McHugh, Ph.D., received an Award of Distinction from the UC Davis College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. McHugh leads a food science research program for the U.S. Department of Agricultures Agricultural Research Service. Her study focuses on increasing the availability of healthy, convenient fruit and vegetable products. • Christianne Schelling, D.V.M., operates a Web site that sells Soft Claws, a vinyl nail covering that provides pet owners with an alternative to having their pet declawed. She had previously owned a veterinary practice specializing in equine medicine. • Allen Tchoi married Amy Kwon in May in Hawaii. In October he began a new job as an oncology sales specialist with Eli Lilly & Co. 1994 Michael Holt, Cred. 95, was selected as the Sacramento City Unified School District Teacher of the Year for 200506. He teaches with his wife, Ellen Anderson Holt, M.A. 98, Cred. 04, at California Middle School in Sacramento. They live in Davis with their fluffy malamute.
